PostSubject: Printin   Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:18 pm

Hello,

I' like to know, how printing works. I found a command to send the PRINT.command to the parallel-port. Does that work with a printer connected to USB as well?

Kind regards, Fordi

seams do be an mistake

you can select a different target for the print comand like a PICTURE but not a real printer.

the parallel port support is good if you have your own created electronic circuit connected.

or i'm blind which comand do you mean ?

Does that mean that I just have to switch the target for the print command and it will print to the printer?
My printer is connect via USB. Does that work?
Kind regards, Fordi

of couse you can print all with notepad.exe or mspaint.exe

here are an very simple example

but you can see how it works.

try it out and give me feedback

i can't test it at the moment my toner is empty.

DJ

Code:
full_space 0
width 0,800
height 0, 600

picture 2
width  2,width(0)
height 2,height(0)
dlist 1
font_names_load 1
full_space 2
print_target_is 2
dim i%,n%
n%=count(1)
for i%=1 to n%
  font_name 2,item_read$(1,i%)
  font_bold 2
  print "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 0123456789"
next i%
display

' save it as picture
file_save 2,"test01.bmp"

' now send it to your printer
execute "mspaint.exe /p test01.bmp"

end

That's what I meant. I create an outputfile and print that with word or Notepad or another application. That works fine.

Kind regards, Fordi
