PostSubject: GRID questions   Fri Dec 26, 2014 7:18 pm

Hi, dear Panoramic fans,

some questions to the GRID object:

1. I have several columns of numbers with 2 decimals, and it would look nice to have them formatted by decimal point or with right alignment. But how?

2. The "GIRD_SAVE" command saves all rows and columns with just LF/CR. Correct? If there was a TAB (or semicolon or whatever) between the columns, it could easily be imported into any spreadsheet (EXCEL...)

Thanks everyone!!
Joerg

Happy new year !

The alignment in a GRID does not exist yet, but I can create new commands to align right, left or center.

I can also give the choice of the separator for GRID_SAVE and GRID_LOAD : CR, CRLF, LF, TAB, semi-colomn, etc

Happy new year, Jack and all Panoramic users,

cool :-) This would be great, if you could create these features!!

Could you also think of a print "using" feature to format numbers, like in classic BASIC?

Thanks very much, Jack!

Recently, I created some DLL functions working on GRID objects. I don't have formatting yet, but if the demand is a little clearer, i can easyly add it. Actually, The functions do:
- activate/inactivate the inline editor for direct data entry into grid celles
- return te coordinates of the selected rectangle of cells
- return the data of all selected cellsin a formatted way
- specify user colors for lines, columns and/or individual cells
- enable/disable the user color scheme

EDIT

Added functionality:
- left/center/right justification for rows, columns and/or indivdial cells
- font name and font size for rows, columns and/or indivdial cells
- graphical attributes bold/italic/underline/strikeout for rows, columns and/or indivdial cells

EDIT

Added functionality:
- spécify font color, along with background color
